Sheri Drewitz-Kanten is an award-winning dance teacher and choreographer who has been teaching all major dance disciplines for over 40 years throughout Canada. An inspirational teacher, Sheri’s students are recognized as some of the most well-rounded and best technically trained dancers. She received the Best Teacher Award at the World Ballet Art Competition Grand Prix, Toronto 2016. Her talents and eye for detail make her a sought-after adjudicator, choreographer, and faculty member for workshops and summer schools.
Sheri is a Registered Teacher with the R.A.D., and is also certified in Progressing Ballet Technique (PBTS); ADAPT; CDTA; and is an Apprentice for TKM Release Therapeutic Ball and Myofascial Strength Techniques. Additionally, she is a Mentor for the RAD (CBTS) and was part of the RAD pilot project, Discovering Repertoire. Aside from thousands of her students successfully completing exams in all disciplines, including the Solo Seal Award, Sheri’s students have continued their passion for dance at the National Ballet School of Canada, Royal Winnipeg School of Ballet, Les Ballets Jazz de Montreal, AMDA, NYU, Savannah Ballet, Broadway productions, film, television, various cruise lines and as Registered Dance Teachers in all disciplines.
Sheri now enjoys freelancing throughout Canada: teaching, choreographing, providing customized dance workshops called ‘Beyond Ballet’, and is the Director of “To The Pointe” summer dance intensive. Sheri resides in the Calgary area, with her husband Ron where they enjoy travelling and spending time with their three adult children.

Miss Sierra Oszust is an emerging Canadian dance artist, primarily having studied in Calgary, Alberta. Sierra is currently a student at the University of Calgary, studying to receive her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance. With over a decade of dedication to her craft, Sierra continues pursuing creative endeavours locally and internationally to enhance her technique, creativity and artistic practice. Sierra has contributed to several artistic performances and creative processes throughout her career as an emerging artist, including being a company performer of W&M Physical Theatre (2021-present), a credited background dancer for film (2021.), and a performer in professional creative processes of Michéle Moss, Linnea Swan, Wojciech Mochniej & Chrsitianne Ullmark.
As she continues to grow her dance practice, Sierra hopes to explore ideas and concepts that initiate kinesthetic movement generation in her own body to transform into nonverbal movement language interpreted through the eyes of the audience. Utilizing her understanding of contemporary dance techniques as a foundation for all improvisational, developmental movement research, Sierra aspires to create art using the physical body and emotional interpretive of the mind to fabricate bodies of work that induce emotional reactions with an audience, connecting to everyone personally.

Shayla Symes started dancing at the age of 4 and discovered a passion for acro at the age of 7. She has trained in various styles including ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, while specializing in acro and accumulating over 15 years of experience in artistic gymnastics.
Shayla was part of Team Canada’s acro team for 2 years in a row where she won 1st place in 3 categories at the IDO World Acrobatic Championships in Mexico, as well as top Acro Dance soloist at the Dance World Cup and 1st place Acro soloist at the World Dance Challenge. She has continued her work with Team Canada Acro West for the last 2 years as an assistant coach alongside award winning choreographer Lexy Cox.
Shayla has travelled to Los Angeles and Las Vegas to compete in international competitions including a circus festival, VIVA Fest, where she was approached by America’s Got Talent to attend the live auditions for season 18 of AGT. Currently in her first year at l’École nationale de cirque in Montreal, she is training with current and former Cirque du Soleil artists, training as an acrobatic specialist. Shayla is certified in Acrobatic Arts, trained through the Acro Dance Teacher Association (ADTA) and a NCCP certified artistic gymnastics coach. Shayla specializes in teaching acro variations, tumbling, and balancing, and is passionate about inspiring and mentoring the next generation of dancers.
